One of the nicest thing to learn in the life of an 'oppressed victim'(for so many years)
is the fact that no matter how hard one tried to forget all the 'injustices' inflicted to him by the people in the
society,the private,government institutions,and of course,the professionals involved,the blisters of pain wether
emotional scars, even mental, the victim's life will never be the same again. His life' course will usually
revolves around the events relevant to and related to the oppression he suffered. Torture wether inflicted physically, mentally, and emotionally will have a lasting effect on his psyche and to his personality. I remember
an article in the 'Awake Magazine!' published in the late 1990's. There was this lady,a european whose
expertise lies the the field of torture. In that article she said: "It is easier to treat a broken bones than to heal a broken soul." And as his sense to his world surroundings, the same author said: " He already lost his trust to the world." Really, these scenario is a warning to all those would-be whistle blower who is tempted to exposed into the world oppression inflicted to him in the society. The man and his family maybe subject to oppressive pressures, threats, media smear campaign, community insults, sublte bad insinuations, and of course, intimidations. What are the chances of employment? The victim might find his situation very difficult. The professionals whom he exposed might use their contacts, connections, and influence so as to make sure to make sure that such good employment will be too elusive. Can a religious organization be a source of refuge? Not really. Anyone familiar with the life of Apostle Paul can tell that even inside the church his persecutors did everything to smear him against his fellow christians.(Pls.Read: 2 Cor.11:26) All of these reminded me of a movie whose story is very welcome treat to me. Here are some conversational clippings i really like most:
"If you decide to go on 60 minutes,I got to know everything why you were fired." (Lowell Bergman)
"They're gonna dig-up stuff from your past. The're gonna throw it at you. I gotta know what they gonna throw.'(Lowell Bergman)
"Anyone, everyone's. They're gonna look under the rock, dig every flow of mistakes you ever made. They're going to distort and exaggerate everything you've ever done, man. Don't you understand?"(Lowell Bergman)
"Everybody is on the line here. If they catch you in a lie, they can paint everything with bush. You understand? Everything you say."(Lowell Bergman)
" I know what you're facing Jeff. And I think I know what you're feeling. You're assaulted psychologically. You're assaulted financially, which is its own special kind of violence. Because it is directed to your kids. What school can you afford? How will that affect their lives. You're asking yourself, will that limit what will they became? You feel your whole family's future is comprimise, held hostage. I do know how it is."( Mr. Scruggs, an attorney in a pro bono law firm.)
By the way,Russel Crowe played the role of 'corporate scientist' from a tobacco company.Al Pacino roler is a 'investigative journalist' who tight his belt not to loose his only whistle blower. What is the effect of culture with its justice system to a whistle blower? If you're just a man,a below poverty line individual who was a victim of injustice from well-connected , influencial lawyers and media professionals, what is your chances of cleaning your destroyed reputation? How about their fraternal sororoties, fraternal brotherhood, their connection in philippine politics, business sectors, and of course, media network? Can culture affect justice system related to 'investigative proceedings?' Their is a old quotation which says that "DEAD MAN TELL NO TALES?" This is literal. Can a immoral media professionals( In general and generic sense.) ruin thereby destroyed the life of a person who they think to be a threat to their profession? How about a lawyers who happened to worked previously inside the supreme court? What are some lawyer's tactics everytime they're being exposed? What commonality exist between a corrupt lawyers ,immoral media profesionals, and that of a corrupt politicians? Aren't they a perfect team ar,say a perfect tandem? In the movie 'The Insider,' the existence of both corrupt lawyers and corrupt media did exist. Just how powerful is bribery system among governments institution, media professionals, professional lawyers, and the given society in general? I don't know. All i know is that it really hard be a victim of oppressive individual, people and society. Such experienced can be compared to the historian Jeremiah.(Pls.Read: Jeremiah 1:18,19.)

In Retrospect: Supreme Court 1991-1993.
For the past few weeks,i'm so much occupied with my personal research related to all the things i once experienced happened inside the 'Philippine Supreme Court 1991-1993.' Actually, way back 2003-2004,i already started gathering some relevant materials that i can use in my personal profiling that willbe useful to me once i decided to write everything concerning my high court experienced. Will such assignment be easy? No! Writing something relevant is not an easy thing. For me,aside from relevant useful relevant materials, i also need to refresh myself,my memories connected to the institution,to the justices, lawyers, and of course,my fellow security guards. Not to mention some professional politicians, and that of media personalities whom i once talk to and inquired of something. Working for the first time in the high court gave me the impression that these high court justices seems to be 'infalliable,' capable of interpreting the constitution unmistakenly. They worked as of a 'god' whose decisions can mean either a life,or say, death to the country, to the instutions, and of course,to the individual.(Aren't the psalms of david say that they are 'god's?') Some questions began to take form in my mind at the time when i began my work as a trained security guard insidethe high court. Some of questions are just trivial curiosities. Some are of that of the olympians. Seeing the justices face-to-face gave me an awe of admiration the very first time i began serving them. I listen to them talk wether inside their chamber, in the high court corridors(both old,and new building.), waiting for their car services,or within the high court perimeters. Most of the are serious looking. Some do have a friendly looks which anyone can't be afraid of. There are many other things i discovered personally while working in that high court. Some of the things i discovered are very much offensive to the institution,to some concern justices, lawyers, politicians, and even to some media practitioners. Oh,yes,in today's electronic world a whistle blower, a writer-maverick, or anyone whose ideas might be a skyrocketing-threat wether to the institution,to the society,or to the individual itself is really a welcome treat. Such person can send his/her ideas to the world in general without fear of being stop. Did i say 'without being stop?' I'm sorry. That's complete overlook. Powerful individuals, people, profesionals with connections and influence in both government, and private institutions did have ways and means to stop any would-be expose'. They can either used community goons, media practitioners, profesional spinners, advertisement, religious entities, and even one's relative,or family just to make sure that such publications can be neutralized, or even, stop. Such attacks can either be the very subtle direct and indirect way. And of course, their is their government connection that can be mobilized to surveillance any woul-be whistle blower. And if government authorities are mobilized unjustly speaking, law enforcement authorities can used computer router, a magic lantern,or simply use a laptop to get all the information in one's hard-disk. Would i still venture to write everything i saw, heard, and experienced inside the high court? Well, i believe in a just, rightful and truthful principle that is worth fighting for. Such is a strong, and good convinction.

Inquisitiveness
"Imagination is more important than knowledge". This is a very familiar quotation coming from famous physicist Albert Einstein.Just how many earthly souls believe this? Which is more important an individual with lots of 'imagination', but lacking knowledge? Or an individual with creative imagination? Both seems to 'compliment' each other although If I've to make a choice, I would choose both. Why? Well, its imagination which visualizes how certain things ought to appear. Its imagination which comes up first into the mind of a person. Its imagination which first gives an individual an 'impression' on how such an idea will look like. Knowledge? Yes, of course, everyone doesn't want to think creatively without a 'prior' knowledge of how certain things, ideas,or abstractness will look like. Knowledge coupled with imagination can make one's idea go skyrocketing to the moon! Though, most invention are supported by learned knowledge, yet, its the imagination that fuels the fire of any ideas giving it a complete,or,even incomplete 'form' of such pre-conceived ideas. Does a mathematician and arm chair philosopher merely content of their 'head knowledge' without giving their imaginative faculty to work on so as to visualize its form,or its outcome? Just how much knowledge does a man of science, man of number, or even, an average intelligence human being have to invest epistemologically speaking so as to make sure that what he,or she think is very much conceivable? Well, that depends on how much head knowledge he, or she possesses. The greater the knowledge (facts, ideas) the lesser will one have to invest extra effort in his, or her quest to create, discover, or say, solve specific problems at hand. But of course, all of these must be supported by one's imagination so as to see one's conceived ideas will work. I guess, I just said something little about inquisitiveness which is normal to any human species. But is important to any individual who wanted to see but know the real world around him,or her.
